The Dater Foundation Gives Generously

Donors looking to support cancer breakthroughs can find them at Cincinanti Children's, and the Charles H. Dater Foundation knows all about supporting cancer research.

Bruce Krone, Dorothy "Dottie" Krone, John Silvati, David Olberding and Beth Broomall, all from the foundation, recently toured the hematology/oncology laboratories at Cincinnati Children's. Frank Smith, MD, treated the group to a behind-the-scenes look at the leading-edge research facilities.

The Dater Foundation has been instrumental in the progress Cincinnati Children's has achieved in developing advanced therapies for cancer. The foundation pledged $250,000, which made it possible to build the laboratories. For decades, the Dater Foundation has given to a variety of departments throughout the medical center.

Charles Dater, who was born and raised in Cincinnati, loved children even though he didn't have any of his own. The foundation -- and the board -- continues his passion to give by making grants to nonprofit organizations throughout Greater Cincinnati. The foundation remains dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, and Cincinnati Children's, and the children oand families treated there, thank them for their commitment and generosity.
