Know-To-Go Educational Tour
Know Theatre is Cincinnati's Theatrical Playground, showcasing unexpected voices, new works, and productions that embrace and celebrate the inherent theatricality of the human experience. The Dater Foundation's increased grant in support of Know's educational programming allowed for greater community access to the Know-To-Go Educational Tour. The tour featured The Inventive Princess of Floralee, which unites science and art through performance and gives students the chance to laugh, learn, and think critically about topics rooted in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). Dater funding supported programming at low or no cost to schools across the tristate area, and 7,192 students attended shows (a 44% increase in attendance from the previous year!). Post-show surveys indicated that more than 80% of participating students who previously had never heard of the Scientific Method before the performance were able to not only define it after the performance, but they also understood where and how one would use it.
