Supporting Children's Programming Grant Application:

Cincinnati Public Radio will run at least 650 on air spots promoting the Dater Foundation's mission and highlighting the many non-profit agencies it supports. Additionally, on air spots promoting Classics for Kids and Democracy and Me acknowledge the Dater Foundation's support.

The Dater Foundation’s mission is to support non-profits that benefit children. By partnering with Cincinnati Public Radio, the Foundation can promote this important mission and encourage these agencies to apply for grants, especially during these difficult times. Through this ongoing project and by airing spots on WGUC and WVXU, the Dater Foundation brings awareness to the organizations it supports and encourages listeners to support them as well. So many smaller non-profits struggle to get their message out to potential donors and these announcements can make a significant impact by reaching more people. Project measurements are based on the spot schedule for broadcast - but additional benefits include building awareness for the Dater Foundation, the number of agencies applying for grants and individual support for the many non-profits that benefit from this on-air recognition. Cincinnati Public Radio audience numbers help quantify the potential reach; we currently have more than 200,000 listeners overall and WVXU.ORG had 1.4 million users in 2022. Every month Cincinnati Public Radio will broadcast at least 54 promotional spots on WGUC/WVXU/WMUB. The spots reflect the mission and core values of the Dater Foundation to Greater Cincinnati by using 20-second on-air spots to highlight the Foundation's funded programs and explain the Foundation's purpose.  Cincinnati Public Radio's children's programming reaches tens of thousands of children every year through on-air broadcasts and web content.

Grant Evaluation Report:

Cincinnati Public Radio listeners are engaged, civic minded, and philanthropic. Through this partnership we are able to dramatically amplify exposure for the small non-profits that are supported by the Dater Foundation. The spot schedule we run on both stations ensures we reach our entire audience of more than 200,000 listeners. In 2022 we aired 926 spots spotlighting the work the Dater Foundation does, and the non-profits the Foundation supports.

We're proud to support the Dater Foundation's mission by sharing information about the many organizations it supports throughout the year.
