Grant Evaluation Report:

CincyDance! remains an incredibly successful program overall. It has served the community for over 25 years and continues to grow in size, scope, and community interest. In recent years we have offered workshops outside of normal CincyDance! offerings to assess additional interest with many new schools participating and we continue to have CincyDance! students participate at every level of the Otto M. Budig Academy. This means that not only is the in-school portion of CincyDance! successful, but these students are also interested in pursuing dance studies further through our Academy and are thriving there as they move up through the levels.

Having said that, COVID-19 has caused ripple effects in the community, and we continue to feel those effects, as do our students and the schools we partner with for this program. That was a major challenge for CincyDance! this year as we navigated the need for continued virtual programming, changes in program schedules, and which parts of the program were better postponed.

We are hopeful that next year CincyDance! can return to a fully in-person delivery model. However, if we need to continue with a hybrid virtual in-person model as we did this year, we will use the lessons learned and procedures established this year to make the process easier and smoother next year for our staff, our artists, our partners, and our students.
