Youth Education Programming
Through exhibitions, performances, and educational outreach programs, the Contemporary Arts Center provides experiences that engage and interact with the art and ideas of the time. CAC Youth Education Programming is designed to create experiences enabling young visitors and their caregivers or teachers to engage with, think about, and enjoy contemporary art. In 2018, the CAC held over 625 events and reached 20,216 children and adults through programming funded in part by a Dater grant. Education programs are inspired by CAC exhibitions, explore creativity, and encourage experimentation to engage visitors and promote an interest in art. CAC education programming inspires the next generation of artists through hands-on activities, exploration of art mediums and techniques, and an introduction to the best contemporary art of our time.
