Sparking Curiosity in Children

As the region’s largest cultural institution, CMC is committed to improving the quality of life for children in the tristate by providing memorable museum and educational experiences. With the COVID-19 crisis still at the forefront, CMC has adjusted its operations in order to deliver educational programming digitally while also enhancing on-site museum exhibits to fuel critical thinking, collaboration and creativity. Programs advance STEM (Science-Technology-Engineering-Math) and STEAM (STEM+Art) education. Students can benefit from Programs-on-Wheels (which meet school curriculum needs), museum camps, digital programming, STEM Girls, Youth Programs, internships and on-site field trips and Learning Labs again once able. Ensuring CMC remains a community resource both as an educational leader and a place that brings the community together as CMC navigates the COVID-19 crisis is of utmost importance.
