Tutor and Scholar Support
Tutor and Scholar Support guides scholars through high school and the college preparatory process with tutoring, coaching, and emotional support. Aside from serving on each scholar’s support team, the BHGH Residential College Coordinator and the BHGH Academic Coach are a vital part of Tutor and Scholar Support because they provide:
• Instructional support to the scholars (SAT/ACT preparation, college planning and possible visits)
• Maintain a school presence (contact with all teachers, attend conferences, monitor grades)
• Provide academic enrichment partnering with tutors and mentors for success
The Residential College Coordinator and the Academic Coach provide the necessary supports that are absent in the families of the youth BHGH serves, yet necessary for learning and thriving in their independence.
