UpSpring Summer 360°
UpSpring’s mission is to empower children experiencing homelessness in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky by providing opportunities through education and enrichment. Each year UpSpring empowers the lives of over 4,000 children experiencing homelessness in our region.
Funds from the Dater Foundation supported the 22nd year of UpSpring Summer 360°, an academic and enrichment summer day-camp that focuses on math, literacy, and social-emotional skills. The traditional camp was replaced by a virtual alternative due to the pandemic. UpSpring hosted camp online, providing a tablet for each child, along with offline activities, food, and other essential resources. 75 students from across the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region benefitted. Feedback from caregivers was that Summer 360° was the bright light in an otherwise very difficult time, and children were happy and grateful to participate.
