Covid-19 Relief Assistance
After 40+ years, Cincinnati’s oldest soup kitchen remains true to the mission of providing food with dignity for neighbors in need. This is a modern evolution of a neighborhood safe haven, a staple of the community that's still on the upswing. Powered by a network of compassionate volunteers, Queen City Kitchen is nourishing new perceptions of food insecurity, stripping away all stigmas and feeding a force for good that can transform entire communities one meal at a time. Every week the kitchen serves approximately 150 families through its choice pantry and 1,514 meals to its neighbors in need between its two locations. Recently added have been a Friday family meal at the Walnut Hills location and snack/meal packs for children during summer months. Additional opportunities to serve guests are expanded through referrals to CUP partners, St. Vincent de Paul for medication, clothes, and financial assistance; Mary Magdalen House for clean clothes and showers; housing assistance from Bethany House and Tender Mercies; and additional meals and socialization at Our Daily Bread.
