Creating More Curiosity in Children
The Duke Energy Children’s Museum at Cincinnati Museum Center remains a favorite destination for families with young children. Despite an unexpected closure during the restoration of Union Terminal, the museum welcomed more than 135,000 guests from September 2017 through August 2018. Guests enjoyed refreshed exhibits and hours of staff-led activities that further engaged children’s imaginations. Learning Labs also enhanced schools’ visits to Cincinnati Museum Center. Students investigated topics such as world cultures, archaeology and history in the interactive labs. In addition, Cincinnati Museum Center expanded programming in the community and hosted the Learning through Play Conference. This annual event brings together the region’s best childhood development experts to help educators and families provide a solid foundation for a child’s development. In a myriad of ways, the Children’s Museum inspired children and their families to learn through play.
