Celebrate Life 2021 Calendar
LifeCenter Organ Donor Network (LifeCenter) is a nonprofit organ procurement organization and tissue recovery agency that works to save, enhance and change lives through organ, eye and tissue donation. Its service area covers 16 counties within Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana serving 2.3 million people. LifeCenter works diligently to ensure the community is educated on the importance of registering their decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor.
For 18 years, the Celebrate Life Calendar has been a powerful education and outreach tool. Each year, thousands of people are introduced to testimonials of those in the community who have been impacted by donation and transplantation. In addition to being displayed in more than 46 area hospitals, local businesses and homes, the calendar has been distributed to more than 200 high schools and charter schools. The Celebrate Life Calendar project has aided students at a time when they will be asked to consider organ, eye and tissue donation when getting their temporary driver’s license.
In 2020, LifeCenter facilitated the recovery of 79 organ donors which resulted in 244 organs being transplants and managed the recovery of 635 tissue donors which improved the quality of life of thousands in need of tissue transplants.
