CincyDance!
The Dater Foundation’s grant supported CincyDance!, Cincinnati Ballet’s flagship education program. CincyDance! uses ballet to teach life skills to 3rd grade students in public and private schools with an emphasis on Title 1 institutions to create equity in arts instruction. School residency classes and the resulting scholarships to the Otto M. Budig Academy provide students an avenue to grow and succeed, while teaching a fun way to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle at an early age. Arts education experiences were created for 3,945 students through in-school ballet lessons at 44 elementary schools, scholarship opportunities, and an end of year field trip for CincyDance! in Washington Park.
