2019-20 Education Programs
In service to the Greater Cincinnati region for 126 years, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops offer extraordinary cultural experiences and compelling programming that is both relevant and inclusive. The Orchestra’s education programs establish life-long connections between young people and the community, encourage general music appreciation, and support music instruction to train the next generation of professional musicians and music educators. During the 2019-20 season, a grant from the Dater Foundation helped the CSO to reach 61,664 students - 21,302 of whom participated through virtual programming after the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic. Education programs supported by the Dater Foundation include: Sound Discoveries, Young People’s Concerts, Cincinnati Symphony Youth Orchestras, the Nouveau Program, the CSO/CCM Diversity Fellowship, and Mindful Music Moments.
