Madcap Puppets Hats Off Series and Local School Performances
Cincinnati Landmark Productions’ Madcap Puppets Hats Off Series (Hats Off), which includes local school performances as well as performances at community centers and regional museums, is a beloved program enjoyed by 100,000+ children and families across Greater Cincinnati every year. The Hats Off Series presents a number of lively and memorable large puppet theatre shows at dozens of local schools and community sites (libraries, parks, etc.) followed by a regional tour across 14-15 states. All puppet theatre shows are carefully written and designed by in-house staff (many shows are adapted from well-known classics like Rumpelstiltsken, the Wizard of Oz, and Pinocchio while others are wholly original stories that utilize the magic of puppetry to explore complex themes and emotions). Bringing these stories and puppets is a topnotch team of professional actors who infuse each performance with high energy, quick wit, and a dynamic, engaging style. The support of the Dater Foundation helps subsidize local Hats Off Series performances to 200+ schools and nearly 75,000 schoolchildren.
