Children's Programming
CET, the first licensed educational television organization in the nation, positively contributes to the quality of life in Greater Cincinnati on-air, online, and in the many communities it serves. The mission is to strengthen the communities through programs and services that inspire and inform, educate and engage, fostering citizenship and culture, the joy of learning and the power of diverse perspectives.
A solid foundation for early learning begins with Emmy award-winning children's programming found on CET— including the PBS KIDS 24/7 broadcast channel and online services — all supported through a Dater Foundation grant. Each PBS KIDS program has celebrated outcome data that shows kids who watch CET are learning math, literacy, science, social studies, creativity and how to be a good neighbor. The best part? CET’s youngest viewers are enjoying quality shows that offer unique embedded learning that is fun, safe and trusted by parents, teachers, and caregivers.
On multiple platforms, PBS reaches families and classrooms across America with research-based, trusted content. These learning tools are available free in both informal and formal learning settings, helping make any time a learning time for America's students, from preschool through high school.
PBS KIDS offers a whole child curricular approach to learning, with content on TV and digital platforms that is proven to improve learning outcomes. With the new 24/7 PBS KIDS channel and live stream, this programming is available to nearly every child in the U.S.
More children are now able to watch PBS programming for kids during "their primetime" 6:00pm - 9:00 pm weeknights.
