Childcare, Enrichment, and Educational Support for Families Experiencing Homelessness
The mission of Lydia’s House is to provide safe, stable and supportive housing for women and children in crisis. The Childcare, Enrichment, and Educational Support program allowed 24 children in 2019 to have high quality care, enrichment activities, and continuity in homeless service aftercare with a known case manager and therapist who can deliver key supports for education and personal success. This program enables single mothers to work, go to vital appointments, and take advantage of opportunities that will lead to economic independence and stability for their families. It offers children opportunities to connect with caring adults, have meaningful engagement, and develop as whole people during a trying and stressful period of their lives. Dater Foundation funding enabled youth outings to attractions such as Camp Joy, Kings Island, YMCA gymnastics,fFamily camp, Cincinnati Zoo, Museum Center
