Clzassics for Kids
90.9 WGUC presents Classics for Kids®, a radio broadcast heard Saturday mornings at 10:00 AM and Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM. CPR’s signature educational outreach program has successfully introduced hundreds of thousands of children to classical music since 1998.
As one of only a few classical stations with a program designed for young children, 90.9 has a higher than normal sized audience aged 6 -11 (11% in 2019).
The Classics for Kids podcast is CPR’s most-listened-to podcast with an average of 64,469 downloads per month in 2019. During the 2019 school year, there have been 446,216 users and 701,528 sessions by students and teachers visiting the multimedia website WWW.CLASSICSFORKIDS.COM.
New for 2019 were live performances of Ferdinand the Bull by CFK host Naomi Lewin and a CSO violinist. Hundreds of children participated at Books by the Banks, and the Kenton County Library.
