Opera Connect 2019
Cincinnati Opera will celebrate 100 years of creating incredible opera experiences for Cincinnati in June of 2020. The nation’s second oldest company, Cincinnati Opera is dedicated to producing opera for everyone, with a wide variety of programming including the summer main stage series, workshops of new operas, and a series of education and community programs. The Dater Foundation provides support for the Opera Education series; a variety of programs for all age levels. Examples of programs include “Stories, Singing, and Snacks,” “Spirituals in Motion,” and the Opera Express, a mobile opera theatre. Designed with the help of local teachers, Cincinnati Opera’s Opera Education series complement existing curriculums and teach students core competencies. The Opera Education series reaches over 5,000 students annually throughout the Greater Cincinnati Region.
