Kids Club
Our Daily Bread’s Kids Club provides year-round afternoon activities and homework help for kids age 5-12 who live in the Over the Rhine neighborhood. A Dater grant allowed Our Daily Bread to provide a caring, stable environment for kids to play, learn, craft, do homework and eat a healthy snack. In addition, the Our Family Table program provides a bag of groceries each Thursday to help Kids Club participants augment their family’s food supply over the weekend. Kids Club supports 25 children.

A Success Story from Our Daily Bread ...
M just kept popping up. His two older brothers were members of Kids Club and when his mother dropped them off, M would sneak in too. I’m 5, he proclaimed, knowing the minimum age for Kids Club. Not yet. You’re 3. Then 3 ½. When M turned 4, his mother had a little girl, which displaced him as the baby of the family. The Kids Club team caved. M was facing Kindergarten, and they knew they could use the summer before to help him get used to all of his new roles and truly become the “big kid” he desperately wants to be. At Our Daily Bread, we are about second helpings and second chances. But we also believe in first chances too, especially for our littlest guests. With this solid foundation beneath him, we know M will continue to climb
